THE IMPOSTER FREE LEADER
Ever felt like a chicken running around with its head cut off? š
Some leaders I speak with are checking their emails and Slack channels 24/7, worrying about the āwhat ifāsā.
One of two things tends to happen when you continue down this path:
You either create systems to manage your time efficiently, or;
You burn out.
Personally, I chose to grab the steering wheel and take control of my time.
Most people donāt know I was once juggling entry-level jobs, recovering from feeling like a failure after a rap career that didnāt take off. Iām also a father who didnāt want to miss out on my kids growing up. So I didnāt have much free time to work with ā but I was determined to find the time to be present in my kidsā lives while climbing the ranks of the corporate world.
Eventually, I became a Fortune 500 leadership consultant all while coaching my kids in sports and being a present dad.
I was even invited to host TedX Salem:
But while I was in those entry-level jobs, I was being passed up on opportunities for years. Eventually, I discovered an important lesson: for the things you care most about, you donāt find the timeā¦
You MAKE the time.
It's easy to fall into the trap of "once XYZ happens... then I'll start investing in myselfā.
"Once I feel ready..."
"Once work slows down..."
"Once I get settled in this new companyā¦"
But the truth is, these "onces" never go away. It will never be the perfect time to work on yourself. And if you sit around waiting for it, you'll look back years later with regret. (I certainly did.)
This is why we condensed the time commitment for Imposter-Proof Leader down to just 4 mornings, so you can gain the tools you need to get promoted faster, in a fraction of the time it would take with other cohort-based courses for leaders.
Drew and I designed the program for people like us; people with zero free time and even less mental bandwidth. So, let me ask you:
If this resonatesā¦ and you donāt join us starting on June 11thā¦ then when do you plan on carving out time to work towards your leadership goals?
We hope to see you at the sessions!
